           Unlike Europe or North America, Australian building standards have traditionally placed little emphasis on insulation and thermal performance. Many older homes — and even some newer builds — lack the proper insulation needed to retain warmth in winter and keep cool in summer.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

            Research from 2023 has shown that a large proportion of Australian homes drop below the World Health Organisation’s recommended minimum indoor temperature of
